• You must submit an itemized receipt or invoice for your WaterSense bathroom fixture, which clearly features all of the following key details:
  • Date of purchase
  • Product line item
    • If the line item is unclear or there are other purchases made on the submitted receipt, kindly highlight or underline the bathroom fixture
  • Price of product
  • Total price
  • Vendor

Green Calgary is a registered charity partnering with The City of Calgary to administer the 2026 Home Water Savings Rebate Program. We are responsible for application processing and approval, communication, and disbursement of rebate payments for the 2026 Home Water Savings Rebate program.

Green Calgary is a separate entity from The City of Calgary and has been working with the City for over 20 years by providing educational environmental sustainability programs to Calgarians.

• Your full name, matching your ENMAX Water Account
• Your ENMAX Water Account number
• Your email address and phone number
• The household, unit or address where the fixture was installed, matching your ENMAX Water Account
• Details relating to your fixture purchase, including:
  • Vendor
  • Fixture brand, type, and model number
  • Purchase date
  • Receipt invoice/ transaction number
  • A clear photo or copy of your itemized receipt or invoice, with all parts visible and legible
• Information about your old fixture, such as the approximate age, brand, model number or whether it was leaking, if known
• A photo of the old fixture or a written description, where requested
• A photo of the newly installed fixture, if available
• Consent for The City of Calgary to access your ENMAX Water Account information as required for the program

Bathroom tubs and kitchen faucets are not eligible because WaterSense does not provide a label for kitchen faucets.

When shopping, look for the following label on the product packaging:

Some renters may be eligible if they are the residential water utility account holder for the household, unit or address where the fixture was installed and meet all other program requirements. If a renter is not the water utility account holder, or does not have authority to replace the fixture, they can share the program information with their landlord or property owner before purchasing or installing a fixture.

Landlords, property managers or multi-unit property owners may only be eligible if they are applying for one qualifying household, unit or address and meet all program requirements. Bulk, multi-property or whole-building applications are not eligible.

No. Only fixtures purchased and installed on or after Aug. 4, 2026 are eligible.

No. The fixture must be purchased and installed before applying. 

Yes. Contractor- or plumber-supplied fixtures may be eligible if all program requirements are met. The invoice or receipt must clearly show the eligible WaterSense-labelled fixture, including the manufacturer, make/model or product information, and the amount paid by the applicant. Labour, installation, plumbing services, tools and other related costs are not covered by the rebate.

If your application is approved, you should receive your rebate within 8 to 10 weeks of submitting a complete application. Mailed cheques may take longer to arrive than e-transfer.

Funding is limited and is expected to support approximately 1,500 rebates, depending on the rebate amounts approved. Applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis.

If available funding is fully allocated, the program may close before Dec. 1, 2026. If funding remains available, additional eligible applications may continue to be reviewed until the program closes or available funding is allocated.

No. Only the following WaterSense labelled products are eligible:

• Toilets (non-flushometer-valve toilets)  
• Bathroom sink faucets  
• Showerheads

Applicants may choose to receive their rebate via cheque or e-transfer.  

Both cheques and e-transfers will be administered by a third-party payment processing software called Plooto. Plooto does not offer autodeposit for first-time payments and will email the recipient to accept the payment. Requirements include a security question and banking details.  

E-transfers sent through Plooto may only be deposited into Canadian banks. If you do not have a Canadian bank account, select mailed cheque as your rebate payment method.  

After your rebate application is received and approved, you will receive detailed instructions on how to receive payment.

Old toilets, faucets and showerheads should not be placed in your blue cart.

Before disposing of your old fixture, consider whether any parts can be reused, repaired or donated. If the fixture cannot be reused, place it in your black cart if it fits safely. Larger items, such as toilets, may need to be taken to a City landfill or disposal facility.
