Waste in Our World Program
Waste in Our World engages children in a hands-on, inquiry-based learning experience that explores waste management and its environmental impacts. Through teamwork, students build a model landfill and investigate innovative ways to reduce, divert, and manage waste responsibly. Aligned with cross-curricular competencies, this interactive program fosters critical thinking and environmental stewardship, empowering young learners to make a positive impact on their communities.

Waste in Our World is one hour in length.

Waste in Our World is valued at $250+GST*
The following is required for the program:
Access to water and a sink (in a nearby room is fine)
5-6 tables or desks for the collaborative activity
A smart board or multimedia projector
*Each presentation is valued at $250. However, we strive for equal access for all Calgarians to environmental education and empowerment, so IF cost is a barrier, we ask that your organization makes the contribution that you can afford and you will be invoiced accordingly.
We also offer rental kits to extend your education experience.
