World Water Day

Celebrate World Water Day 2026 with us at SAIT! Held in collaboration with CAWST, Water First and Inside Education, this year's event is focused on the UN theme: Water and Gender.

The event will begin with a diverse speaker panel discussion from 9:30–10:30 AM exploring the critical connections between gender equity and water access, governance, leadership, and sustainability.

Our panel speakers include:

  1. Karen Joe: Global WASH Advisor, CAWST (Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology)

  2. Alyssa Wilson: Utilities Associate Manager, snpink’tn Indian Band

  3. Name T.B.A.

Following the panel, dive into exciting exhibits at the The World Water Day Expo from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, showcasing innovations and initiatives contributing to water sustainability. Connect with passionate professionals, and explore innovative solutions for sustainable water management!

We will also be joined by youth from schools across Calgary, who will engage in fun and educational water activities alongside our Expo booths. Youth programming is hosted by Inside Education, SAIT’s Student Water Club, and SAIT Youth Initiatives.

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
