Thank You to Our Volunteers

Posted on April 9, 2016

Did you know it's National Volunteer Week (April 10-16)? Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and the reason we are able to reach thousands of Calgarians every year. Who makes up our volunteers?

They are Calgarians who want to make a difference, who want to get engaged, who want to be involved in their communities, and who want to give back to the city they love.  We have hundreds of volunteers who provide thousands of hours of volunteer service.

To our Board members who volunteer hours and hours of time on committe work, meetings, policy development and governance - we thank you!

To our Rain Barrel & Composter sale volunteers who get up early on Saturday mornings to educate, inform, and support rain water harvesting - we thank you!

To our service volunteers who help us pack, carry, set-up and take down at community shows, booths, and events - we thank you!

To all of our volunteers who help inspire just one more person to take up a positive green act, we thank you!

We'll be doing some more recognition of some of our most active volunteers at our AGM coming up this April 20th. We hope you'll join us - you can register online here.

Happy Volunteer Week & keep on serving your community - it's a Canadian value we all hold dear and makes Canada such a great place to live and Calgary such a great place to call home!
