Other opportunities in Calgary: Waste Audits with S-Cubed Environmental, September-November
S-Cubed Environmental is a private company and partner of Green Calgary. They are looking to carrying out several Waste Characterization Studies in Calgary for a range of businesses.
The projects aims to gather data to help the properties meet BOMA BEST certification and understand what further opportunities there are for more diversion.
Carrying out waste audits for this project involves sorting samples of waste into 15 different categories, and S-Cubed is looking to hire some local waste sorters. I am wondering if you, or maybe someone you know, might be interested in a few days of work September to November?
What: Working as a waste sorter for a waste audit -- no previous experience required. Stacey will train sorters and provide PPE (personal protective equipment safety glasses, coveralls, respirator mask, etc.).
When: Dates are being confirmed. Generally, occurs Tuesday to Friday. Contacting Stacey puts you on the email list when the data is confirmed.
Where: Work will take place at office buildings in Calgary.
Awesome parts of the work: As much as the work isn't glamorous it is super interesting, and you are a real part of identifying how well a business’s diversion programs are working and improving on their collective efforts to divert more materials from the waste stream! You can also add to your bucket list “waste sorter” and see first-hand what items end up in the waste stream.
Questions: Please email or text Stacey your name and contact information to learn more.
