Laurie Lin

Laurie was born in Taiwan where she experienced the incredible phenomena of typhoons and floods. Throughout her childhood, she witnessed how environmental mitigation and adaptation strengthened her homeland. Her passion for environmental conservation budded through exploring the rainforests and scuba diving in oceans in Asia. After moving to Canada, her love and care for the earth widened . 

She seeks opportunities for growth and is dedicated to making the world a better place for current and future generations. Laurie has an interdisciplinary background in Business Administration, Zoology, and a master's degree in Environmental Science. She holds over 20 years of experience in informal education. She is committed to sharing her knowledge and passions for nature with people she interacts with and the community she serves. She is an enthusiastic volunteer whom you can find supporting the community and enjoying festivals year around! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, family, friends, plants, and animals.
