HSBC Clean Air Achievers (Gr. 5-9) & Air Aware (Gr. 6-12)
Green Calgary is Alberta's Community Partner for Clean Air Champions. Clean Air Champions offers two programs for Grade 6 - 12 students. Both are FREE of charge.
Air Aware Program
Air Aware is a FREE, national program, that is dedicated to enhancing our personal health and the quality of the air we breathe. Air Aware shares important information about air quality, active living, allergies and asthma, educating Canadians about the important interconnections between these four things. Champion athletes deliver dynamic and interactive presentations that are approximately one hour in length and aim to inspire Canadians to adopt more active, empowered and sustainable lifestyles.
This program is only available until March 31, 2012.

HSBC Clean Air Achievers Program.
This is a curriculum-based, multi-disciplinary program that is intended for students in grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. This unique program explores transportation choices and the resulting impacts on air quality, climate change and health by bringing Canada's top National Team, Olympic, and Paralympic athletes into Calgary classrooms.
Students achieve measurable results that reduce greenhouse gas emissions by choosing active transportation, and influencing others to become more physically active. The program ideally takes place over a one month period (minimum two weeks), including two visits from the athlete paired with each school.
