Green Calgary

About the Decal

The Idle Free Calgary image was created for the Earth Day Design Contest and after receiving numerous great entries, Green Calgary chose this winning design. Doug Driediger's graphic conveys a positive message to Calgarians, supporting them in turning off their cars. We believe that this clear, simple image can inspire people to be Idle Free. Doug is both excited to have won and to be part of this great initiative. He is modest about his talents as an artist and his contributions to the non-profit sector in Calgary.

Green Calgary will be distributing 20,000 decals, which will be double-sided, ultra-removable and will stick without adhesives to metal, glass and other surfaces, as part of our Idle Free Campaign. The Idle Free Campaign will allow workplaces, individuals and schools to sign an Idle Free Commitment and display the decals in their offices, homes and vehicle windows.

The Idle Free decal is part of our Getting there Green program which encourages environmentally friendly driving habitats and the use of alternative and active transportation choices.
