Call for Volunteers!

It’s that time again…Casino fundraising for Green Calgary! As you know we are a charitable organization and we rely heavily upon the funds generated through this casino event. We greatly appreciate your time and support to come out and volunteer.
We have several positions available all of which are on a first come, first serve basis. Previous Casino experience is an asset, but not required. On site training will be provided the day of your shift.
All volunteers must meet the following criteria as set forth by the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission-
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Possess photo ID at all times during the casino event
Competent in handling money
Able to pass a security clearance check
Able to manoeuvre in the casino facility for the duration of their shift
Able to hear, see, speak or have an attendant with these capabilities.
WHERE: Cash Casino- Blackfoot Gaming Centre, 4040 Blackfoot Trail SE Calgary, Alberta T2G 4E6.
WHEN: Saturday July 2, 2011 + Sunday July 3, 2011
TIME: We have a variety of Casino positions and time slots available-
Day shifts run from 10:30am – 7:00pm, Evening Shifts from 6:30pm – 2:30am and late night shifts from 10:00pm – 3:00am. Please contact Jessica for more details on availability and reserve you spot today.
We also need volunteers to be ON CALL- this means we will need you to be available in case of illness or no-show by the other casino workers. You can specify a time that you can be on call for, or you can be available for the duration of the event..

ADDITIONAL INFO: A variety of food, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea will be available to you before, during and after your Casino shift. If transportation is a barrier to you volunteering, we can arrange assistance in getting you to and/ or from the Casino on the day of the event. Please just let us know ahead of time and we will be happy to help you out! Thanks so much!
