Homeowner Hydronics 101

All Calgarians are invited to join us and learn more about using hydronic heating to reduce impacts on the environment. These efficient systems are built to limit the amount of heat loss, and are flexible enough to run off a variety of fuel sources – including solar.

Green Calgary will share a number of tips for sustainability at home, and our experts will share insights and discuss:

About the Presenters

Dave Hughes is the Associate Chair (Special Projects) for the Pipe Trades program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.  He is a Journeyman Plumber, Gasfitter A, Steamfitter/Pipefitter and educator. Dave is currently the Chair of the Plumbing Technical Council for the Alberta Safety codes Council, Vice-chair of the Canadian Hydronics Council, Vice-chair of the CSA B214 Technical Committee.

Matt Wiesenfeld has been a senior staff manager for the Canadian Hydronics Council since joining the organization in 2013. Matt has educated audiences and promoted the benefits of hydronic heating in a variety of formats, including live presentations, webinars, conversations and roundtable discussions. Matt also represents the industry in a variety of formats through his broader responsibilities at the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating.
