Hefty blue garbage bags are a standard garbage size and measure 26in x 36in, or 66cm x 90cm. They are made in Calgary with 100% post-industrial recycled plastic. The packaging for these garbage bags contains ~ 40% recycled waste and can be recycled in the Plastic Bag Green City Depot Bins.

Reuse is always preferable when choosing a garbage bag. Recycled plastic is great second choice. Be careful not to purchase ‘biodegradable’ or compostable bags if you are sending them to the landfill.
