Want to lower the environmental impact of your event but don’t know where to start?  We can help.  Green Calgary provides consulting services for all types of events from business meetings and conferences to community events and multi-day festivals.  We will work with you to identify areas of opportunity and improvement, and help you to make those changes. 

How we can help:

Waste reduction & recycling programs
Identify opportunities for waste diversion, help to set up recycling stations, train volunteers, liaise with and train vendors and find appropriate recycling services that work for your situation and set up. 

Green procurement
Provide guidance on materials and services that will reduce the festival’s environmental impact, upstream and downstream.

Travel emission offsetting
Calculate & offset artist travel emissions.  Offsetting is done through external parties.

Ethical food options
Identify areas and opportunities where local and organic food options are appropriate. 

Tap Water Provision
Find sources or services for tap water, minimizing or eliminating the use of bottled water.

Assessment & Reporting
Measure the waste and recycling during the event to track your progress and the effectiveness of the waste reduction programs.  Assess all other environmental aspects of the festival and provide recommendations for improvement.  Provide you with a Green Event Report that captures this information.
