Biofuels and Global Hunger

Good evening Ashley,

I’ve heard a lot about biofuels over the past few years and while governments laud its potential, passing policies to support evermore ethanol and such, I can’t help to wonder how we’ll be able to grow enough crops to feed our vehicles and the, now, 7 billion of us that share this planet. Is it possible to have our cake and eat it too?

Why Carwashes Are Best (encore)

Dear Ashley,

My husband and I have a neighbour who washes his car at home at least twice a week throughout the summer and it makes my skin crawl to see all the water and soap going into the storm drain. I’m wondering what I could say to him without causing a big ruckus. It seems like a terrible waste, so any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Whats the matter, are your fingers broken?

Dear Ashley,

Perhaps this is a bit off-topic, but do you have any ideas on how I can tactfully tell people who are idling their cars to shut off their engines while they wait the restaurant, convenience store, or gas station? I do not want my "lights punched out".
