Which plastic containers can be recycled?

I just saw an ad about recycling milk containers and in between those milk containers, I saw laundry detergent bottles, etc… Are those recyclable too and can I put them in the recycling bins with the milk containers?

Do humidifiers waste water?

I try very hard to live a low impact lifestyle but I have a question which nobody seems to have been asked before. What do you think about a humidifier in the home? Are they a waste of H2O?
